Dear Dad, I will miss you on so many levels and these include: Your interest in every subject and all people, always keen on meeting new people and keeping friendships going across the years and geographic divides. You were never boring. You were always so nice to my friends and interested in talking to everyone which has inspired my own love of meeting new people and keeping in touch with friends. Talking about a particular article we had both seen or a shared love of a Netflix drama. Our debates and occasional fall outs that were so very quickly forgotten! Your sense of humour and how we could really laugh together! April Fools jokes! Your visits to Swindon which would invariably include a trip to TK Maxx, the tapas bar, visits to Gwen and Peter, coffee in the Kings, calligraphy with the children and a lot of good meals and fun! We’ve had some lovely times in the last year in particular, creating special memories which have sustained me during the last few weeks. We say goodbye to you today Dad and it’s not the send off we would ideally have wanted for you but we will gather everyone together when we can in time and you will forever live on in all of us. A large comfort is that you lived a full life surrounded by family and friends who all truly loved you, forever in my thoughts and rest in peace, Hannah ❤️
