Picture this - It is the late 1960s and there are 3 daughters living in a corner of the New Forest called Blackfield. The elder one is already engaged to a certain gentleman who works for Southern TV while the 2 other girls are not yet spoken for! 

Next an important social event - the Beaulieu and District Growmore Club Annual Dinner of which my father Dick Henn Collins is probably the organiser or speaker.  Escorts for the other daughters are needed and guess who turned up at Red Roofs to be introduced to a certain Frances HC. Blind Date 1960s style. 

Not long after there is another engagement and a marriage and over the years 4 wonderful children. Sadly we all know the rest but when you read this reflect on their happy years together and hold tight to those memories.  

We spent many holidays together with the Staffords in Guernsey, Brittany, Morzine, Yorkshire and Seaford and I will always have good memories of those times spent together.
