Mike was much loved by his calligraphy friends, he would arrive each week with carrier bags, art box and portfolio only to realise he’d forgotten one or two important items like a pen or ink.... He loved creating little pieces of work as long as someone else made the decisions for him, left to his own devices deciding which script, paper, ink or pen was totally beyond him. Having said that he produced some lovely work and if I had a choice I’d much rather be digging in my box to find the item that he had forgotten than not have him there at all. Rest in peace Mike and don’t forget to think about us on Wednesday mornings as we will surely be thinking about you. Xx
